Throughout the movie Coach Carter had hard time having the player’s cooperative with him but as he coached the team the relationships changed between them all. A strategy that was used a lot through the movie was intimidation. When Coach Carter walked into the gym the first time as their new coach, he looked for respect from the young boys. He didn't tell the boys his name but told them to call him “sir” as a sign of respect. In the beginning of the movie, the young boys did not like or take his expectations seriously but overtime they all slowly started to follow his rules and expectations. They all learned how to work as a team through victory and punishments. Furthermore Coach Carter’s speeches were really motivating and inspiring and they really affected the players. His powerful speeches made the boys want to do better and work as a team. In the end Coach Carter changed the lives of his players and made them all feel like champions. Coach Carter was an inspirational coach and made those young boys to become a family. |
