Coach Carter was never a failure or showed any weakness but the young boys always found a way to fail his expectations in the start of the movie. Throughout the movie the players, teachers, and even their parents didn't take Coach Carter and his contract seriously and thought it was some joke, but Coach Carter was never a failure and stood by what he believes. In the movie one of the players Cruz left the basketball team because of the high expectations he was being asked for. But in the end Cruz came back to the team when he realized that Coach Carter was bring a positive change into those young boys lives, and he did this for their own good because Coach Carter believed in them and wanted them to have a bright future after high school. The failure I only saw throughout the movie was when the players failed to meet expectations in their contracts with Coach Carter. A great technique Coach Carter used was when he put the gym under a lock down in order for his players to do better academically. The passion the boys had for basketball really did motivate the team to work hard and to be successful.
